TestAS Exam Preparation 

The examination pattern is a prime asset that will help you to carve a niche in prestigious universities based in Germany through TestAs. 

 

Part 1 is Core Test: The Core Test measures cognitive abilities required for successful studies in all academic courses. It takes 110 minutes and consists of four subtests:

  • Solving Quantitative Problems

  • Inferring Relations

  • Completing Patterns

  • Continuing Numerical Series

​

Part 2 is selecting subject-specific test module according to the desire bachelor course

​

Candidates choose one of the following modules at time of registration:

​

  1. Economics Module

  • This test module takes 150 minutes to complete and consists of two subtests:

  • Analysing Economic Interrelationships

  • Analysing Processes

​

   2. Engineering Module

  • This test module takes 150 minutes to complete and consists of three subtests:

  • Formalising Technical Interrelationships

  • Visualising Solids

  • Analysing Technical Interrelationships

​

  3.Humanities, Cultural Studies, and Social Sciences Module

  • This test module takes 150 minutes to complete and consists of three subtests:

  • Understanding and Interpreting Texts

  • Using Representation Systems Flexibly

  • Recognising Linguistic Structure

  4.Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences Module

  • This test module takes 145 minutes to complete and consists of two subtests:

  • Analysing Scientific Interrelationships

  • Understanding Formal Depictions

​

The Core Test and the Subject-Specific Test Modules are paper-based tests in multiple choice format. The test takers are to mark the correct answer on answer sheets which are evaluated automatically in the TestDaF Institute.
